High Rocks Annexe.
This outcrop, also known locally as Bristol Jacks' is on the opposite side of the road to the High Rocks Continuation Wall, hidden just off the road in a copse. The outcrop is quite low, not more than 20 feet along it's length, but has some good climbs. It is completely overhung by yew trees making it a great autumn venue. The walls are often green in colour but this does not seem to affect the friction. The top of the outcrop slopes toward the edge along most of it's 200m length and walking along the top, particularly at the west end is precarious. Take care! The ground also slopes rather annoyingly toward the road! Don't let that put you off though as it's well worth a visit.
As the rocks are on private land, permission to climb here should be sought from the owners at 'The Bungalow' behind the outcrop, approached from Tea Garden Lane. The Bungalow is on the right of the sharp left hand bend just beyond the initial rise, about 400m from the junction with High Rocks Lane.
